I heard this authentic bit of 'slice of life' dialogue today. I stepped into a lift into the middle of conversation between a pouting girl, and pouting lad:
Girl: .... and then
she was running down the street shouting, "that's our bus, that's our bus!"
Boy: In the road?
Girl: Yeah, and she was waving her arms. But it wasn't our bus. It was going the wrong way.
Boy: Any reason she was so pissed?
Girl: She was just being a total muppet.
The sound of London.
Why is that the young pout so much these days? Are they trying to offset the start of wrinkles - surely life can't be that bad!
